125 cm x 35 cm (3.7-ft. x 14-inch) rectangular piece of egg carton foam and coil it around the inside of the large flowerpot, bumps facing out. 

Then trim the excess foam that rises above the top of the flowerpot.  You are now ready to complete the microphone by adding the cloth cover.
