Similar species Similar to Black-capped Chickadee but shorter, higher, and more monotone.
Behavior Irruptive migrant. Presumably a nocturnal migrant but also seen in morning flight, presumably limited resumed migration. Calls regularly in short diurnal flights. Not known to give flight call at night.
