American Crow Corvus brachyrhynchos

Flight call description A variable loud "caw" or ruckus series of "caw" notes may sometimes be used as a flight call (see Behavior).

Similar species Distinctive but see Fish Crow and Common Raven.

 

Behavior Diurnal migrant. Highly vocal species, yet seems to be mostly silent in migration flight.
