1. New Jersey December 21, 1998 (MO). Bird in short flight, then perched. Background calls include Yellow-rumped Warbler, White-throated Sparrow, Fox Sparrow, Northern Cardinal, and American Goldfinch.
2. Minnesota November 27, 2000 (WRE). Bird perched, then in flight.
Similar species Distinctive
Behavior Diurnal migrant. Highly vocal species, yet seems to be mostly silent in migration flight.
