Eastern Kingbird Tyrannus tyrannus

Flight call description A short, raspy, descending "k-zeer", often given in short series. Also a twitter call that is often intermixed with the "k-zeer" call.

Similar species Distinctive.

 

Behavior Diurnal and nocturnal migrant. Flight calls given regularly during the day by perched and flying birds. Rarely calls in nocturnal migration.
