Similar species Somewhat similar to Blue Grosbeak and Rough-winged Swallow but lower, dryer, and buzzier. See buzz calls.
Behavior Primarily a nocturnal migrant but engages in substantial resumed migration. Gives flight call regularly while perched and in flight during the day and during nocturnal migration.
